Semester 2 Week 1 update

Welcome Back!

Homework Review – complete before week 1 of semester 2
Algebra 2	Lessons 55-59. Also, bring one math question from your own math book to put on the board.
Latin	Lesson 18, exercises. Lines 3-21 Helvetian Drive to the West translation.
Drama	Finish reading Elements of Style and start reading the play Harvey.
Debate:	Week 5’s debate topic: Vint Hill is researching New Laws about Copyrights & Internet Plagiarism. Culpeper is researching New Legislation for Facebook Client’s basic rights.
History: Music Essay	Keep polishing notebooks and prepare to add composers to the timeline. Gift of Music – Read up to the beginning of Chapter 3 (skip CH 1). Take a peek at Classical Music For Dummies. Definition Essay on the Baroque Period.
British Literature Essay:	Start reading Something Beautiful for God (in preparation for group discussion and essay in the coming weeks. Also, remember some of Animal Farm’s key themes for this week’s discussion. Look up questions for both books in Words Aptly Spoken.
Biology:	Finish Chapters 9 & 10. Add 2 formal typed experiments to your Lab Journal (8.4 + 10.1) These are two of the four Formal reports needed for this semester.

I will try to prepare the first semester student progress reports this week and hand them out. I was hoping I would have them ready to scan and e-mail before Christmas, but life intervened. I'll see you all soon.
