Essay

SoA
We will discuss our Art Grants and Notebook preparations.

Definition Essay on “–isms.” Page 100 in the guide can help organize what to write. We discussed this in class and used the Artist guide sheet in class to fill out the top portion of the chart. Not every piece of information on the chart is necessary in the essay. It is only a guide for supporting proofs.

Read chapter 10 in State of the Arts
Art Presentation:
We will review the guide’s parameters for the Art Critique/Presentation on week 15 (pg. 48)
British Literature
Essay:
Read chapters 1-20 in Jane Eyre.

Next essay for British Literature will be week 12 on “Comparing similarities and differences
between a few characters in Pride & Prejudice and Jane Eyre.”
Biology:
Finish Chapter 6 up to page 176 and read Exp. 6.1.

ON WEEK 11, I WILL SEND HOME A CHECKLIST PAGE AND ADDITIONAL HELPS FOR STUDENTS TO PREPARE THEIR TIMELINE AND NOTEBOOKS (ART AND SCIENCE). WEEK 14 WILL BE COLLECTION WEEK - TO BE RETURNED WEEK 15. Week 15, the students have a few reviews, an Art Presentation, limited holiday homework, and a potluck party. I will try to prepare the students to have their art notebooks, and essays caught up by Thanksgiving so they only have regular homework and their Lab Journal and Timeline Notebook to work on over the Holiday.

I will get back to listing our class day endeavors in next week’s blog, but for now I’ll include some pictures from the Art Museum Trip. Thank you to Mr. Carlson for sharing a large portion of the photos for us to enjoy. Photography was limited in some areas,  but here is a peek into the day:
